New 400 kHz AWAC (with ice measurements)
We are pleased to announce the release of our new 400 kHz Nortek AWAC, which extends the wave and current profiling capability of this best-selling instrument to 100 m. And for good measure, we added ice thickness capability.
AWAC with 400 kHz profiling transducers and 600 kHz center transducer (AST)
The 400 kHz retains the same geometric configuration as the earlier 1 MHz and 600 kHz version but gets a different "look" because of the larger transducers. The ice measurements are implemented as a new detection algorithm that is more appropriate to the raw data recorded when the surface is covered with ice.
