Vectrino coordinate transform
The Vectrino uses the same scaling parameter: 4096=1
One day processors will be so power effective that we can stop doing integer math

Hey Atle and PJ (Hope all is well in Ithaca PJ!),
I have burst data from a Vector, and I have the .hdr files from both the complete record with all bursts and also the .hdr file from the tranformation to burst files (individual .dat files for each burst). I would think that the .hdr files would be identical, but it looks like the tranformation matrix for the .hdr file associated with the burst files has already been scaled by 4096, while the .hdr file for the complete record needs scaling (ie-burst .hdr file with each element of the matrix divided by 4096 is the same as the full record .hdr record). Any reason for this, as I'm just curious?
Thanks,
Ryan Walter
Hey Ryan,
Hope all is well out in California as well! My guess is the scaling of the transformation matrix differently depending on how it's exported is simply a small bug in the Vector software. As long as the Transformation matrix is the same in all of the headers, you shouldn't have any problems. I'll let Sven know and it should be fixed in the next update to the Vector software.
P.J.
