System Integrator Guide: HR Aquadopp Profile Data

Posted by Paul McCarthy at July 24. 2009

Hi,

First of all, thank you for providing the System Integrator Guide; it is an invaluable resource. I have a few questions about the HR Aquadopp Profile Data Firmware Data Structure definition in the June 2008 version of the guide. I should clarify that I don't actually have any sample data; I am working purely from the specification.

  - In the definition, the VelLag2, AmpLag2 and CorrLag2 fields are all fixed at 3 words, 3 bytes and 3 bytes respectively; is this correct? I would have thought that the size of these fields would vary based on the configured number of cells.

  - I believe there is a small mistake in the definition, in that the offset of the Spare1 field (after CorrLag2) should be 48, rather than 47. This change propagates on to all following fields.

Thanks very much for your help,

Paul McCarthy.

Hi Paul,

The individuals who typically answer these question are away on vacation and should be back in early August to assist you.

Hi Paul,

The fields for VelLag2, AmpLag2 and CorrLag2 are correct, you can read the explanation for that here.

You are right about the Spare 1 offset, it should be 48 with the corresponding increase by 1 on the remaining fields as you point out. We will add that to our list of changes for the next version of the System Integrator Manual.

Best regards,

Sven
