horizontal deploy of a vertical tilt vector
Hi to everybody,
Before I wrote this email I checked all the topics posted in deployment forum, but I couldn't find the right topic that solve my doubts.
I'm doing some velocity measurements very close to the bottom floor. To do so I deployed horizontally a fix vector on a H frame, orientated the X tip looking up and choosed a XYZ coordinate system. As far as I understand, my results should represent Z with the same direction as the vector canister (positive values from the tip to the end bell), X is now orientated up and Y is 90ยบ left with respect to X and Z.
Is this right? or Do I have to change completely the calculations and rotate the coordinate system?
Thanks in advance,
Gloria
You've got it right for XYZ. If your tilt sensor and compass are installed for a vertical orientation of the pressure canister, don't try to convert to ENU coordinates as the readings from them will be wrong.
