Ice Mode data in NMEA output ?

发贴人: Nuno Cunha - September 01. 2011

I set up a awac Prolog to profile (20 cells) and do wave measurements and selected Ice Mode on the 'General Tab' in the software.  I Also set this system to output NMEA data.  I am able to collect all the data but I can NOT find where the "ICE thickness" (output from selecting 'ice Mode' in General Tab) is being put in all of the NMEA output strings.   I read the AWAC and Integration pdfs and cannot find any information on this.    Do I need to do something to the instrument to be able to get "ICE" data out in the NMEA output strings?  Is getting 'ice' data in NMEA output strings even possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Nuno,

I am sorry to say that these parameters are not available in the NMEA format. They are available in the binary serial output from the prolog. It is now documented as well in http://www.nortek-as.com/lib/manuals/system-integrator-manual-september-2011 page 42.

Best regards

Jonas Røstad
