How to calculate velocity and direction parameters ?

Hi,

I got an Aquadopp 6000m. After the deployment (coordinates XYZ), the data file show a zero in the speed and direction columns (last columns). Is it possible to recalculate both of them from the velocity components, amplitude and so on ? If yes, could you please give me the equations ?

Hi Laurent,

Speed and direction are just the magnitude and resultant angle referenced to an Earth coordinate system from a vector addition using the horizontal velocity components.
