The Nortek Vectrino is the first velocimeter to use parallel receivers. This gives an immediate performance improvement of a factor of 4, allowing data to be collected at rates up to 200 Hz. |

| Doppler discharge system without bottom tracking |
The Nortek Qliner/Boogiedopp is the first Doppler system that does not use bottom track when measuring discharge in rivers. This eliminates a huge uncertainty element in the measurements due to "moving bottoms" and simplifies the measurement procedure. |
